About the Awards
The NZ Fruit Wine and Cider Awards have been held annually since 1984 but due to the recent phenomenal growth of the Cider industry the NZ Cider Awards have been held independently since 2015. The Awards .
The Awards aim to recognize the high quality of Cider produced in New Zealand as well as the growing range of styles available. Whether you like complex, dry ciders or lighter, sweet ciders or cider blended with fruit you are bound to find a cider you like by checking out our most recent Awards results.
All members of the FWCMA can enter.
2024 Fruit Wine & Cider Awards
The 2024 Fruit Wine & Cider Awards are now open. All members of FWCMA can enter. This year, we’ve moved to an on-line entry form, adapted from CiderAustralia.

For each entry, please send 6 x 330mL, 4 x 500mL or 2 x 750mL (or larger).

19 August – Entries open
17 September – Entries close and to be delivered. Payment due. (Note the rural delivery address. Add extra time for deliveries to get there)
24 & 25 September – Judging
1 November – AGM & Awards Presentation, Nelson
